About the Sculptor

My name is Bronwyn Sibley and I am originally from New Zealand so a lot of my

hand crafted sculptures are influenced by Maori designs.

I make sculptures by hand out of thermalite blocks for the home and garden.

A lot of my designs are Maori influenced as I grew up in a small village in New Zealand called Maketu . Maketu had a high Maori population so their way of life and spirituality is very close to my heart.

I came back to the U.K in May 2018 (after living back in New Zealand with my husband and children for just under 5 years), and we are now living in Basingstoke, Hampshire, U.K.

I decided to have a go at making N.Z style sculptures as Xmas presents for my husband's family and when people saw them, they asked me to make some for them.  Then my daughter posted them on face book and orders started coming in and it grew from there. I have now turned our shed into my workshop and small gallery which can be viewed by appointment.

My music collection came about from people thinking my 'Fish Hook and Whale Tail' sculpture looked like a Treble Clef so I decided to make a treble clef and a few instruments.

I coat all my sculptures with a water sealant to help protect them from the frost and discolouration .

I sell them on the day (at markets and shows) and I also bring orders for collection to these events, by previous arrangement. Please see my events page for locations.

Collection and viewing can be arranged from my home in Basingstoke, Hampshire by appointment only.

Sculptures can also be sent out via courier.
